VPWW First opened a website up to the public back in January 2003. During this time, the site was known as Vantage PRO and Wyandotte Weather Website. An old page of the site is still avaliable at www.wyandotteweather.com/VPWW
During the couple of months that followed, VPWW began upgrading the site to maintain a number of different links and weather forecasts. A new logo/site header came out in early 2004. This brings us to the current status of the site, reviewed in the next section.
The current site of the VPWW consists of a totally new layout, compared to the old site mentioned above. New backround, links, and forecasts are avaliable. Also new for November 2005 is a new site logo/header, along with a new advisories map. The new site is set up for easy accessibility...and fast navigation through the forecast products we offer. In January 2006...the site was refreshed to include an updated header and new logos.
During 2007, the site was refreshed again with new links...as well as a Forum that opened up in November 2007. The new advisories map and tabs on the main page provide convenient and fast navigation through the outlooks, watches, warnings, and advisory products. The advisories map is linked directly from the National Weather Service in Detroit Pontiac, and is updated as soon as an advisory is issued.
That about sums it up for the history of the VPWW Office in Detroit Wyandotte. If you would like to see something added to the site, please do not hesitate to contact us at webmaster@wyandotteweather.com or by taking the Survey located on the main page.
Your input would be greatly appreciated, and we hope you continue to enjoy the services VPWW brings you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
