This is the only crossing with gates in the whole city of Midland. Picture 1 is facing East. The tracks are far apart at the crossing for a reason. In picture 3, the tracks are heading east towards Waldo 2. Somewhere along the way, the tracks go from 2 to one. |

The track in picture 4 goes to Saginaw 2 and 20th St. The other track in picture 5 curves inside into private DOW Chemical territory, where there is a private crossbuck crossing near here. Picture 6 is facing West. |

More General Signal electronic bells exist here. One thing puzzles me on the FRA website about this crossing. According to their records, this crossing used to be gateless. The first record with gates was mentioned on December 3, 1997. What doesn't make sense is that they'd install 8" lights in 1997, or if they just added gates to the existing gateless signals? |
